I reached the decision to change over to robotic milking on my own farm.

​I completed a course on Farm Management for Lely Robotic Milking Farms. This was a Lely specific course and having completed my training, I worked in the area of Farm Management Advisor. My role was to visit farms where robotic milking systems had just been installed and who required support and guidance in respect to: Laying out Grazing blocks Assigning Feed / milk settings Cow movement after start-up and overall guidance on the correct procedures to be adhered to, to ensure a quick and successful path into robotic milking

I was now contracted for Direct Sales of Lely Robotic Systems for a supplier in the South East. My function therefore changed into visiting farms and advising farmers who were in the process of going robotic. I advised farmers on: Farm layouts for the purpose of introducing a robotic system onto their farm Drafted outline building designs to accommodate the robotic system, providing a number of choices to the farmer
